There are 2 important factor's here: 1) a person can be convicted of a Michigan Assault Crime without even touching someone (thedownside of Michigan Assault Laws); and 2) an Assault charge cannot turn into an Assault conviction without evidence proving that you intended to commit an Assault (i.e. an accident is not an assault (the upside of Michigan Assault Laws).
